	<title><![CDATA[Felicità in calo, lo dice Twitter]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>Pu&ograve; un Social Network come <strong>Twitter</strong> diventare espressione degli <strong>umori della popolazione</strong> su scala globale?</p>
<p>La risposta non pu&ograve; che essere positiva e far parte di una tendenza ormai studiata da tempo.</p>
<p>Gi&agrave; un&rsquo;equipe della <em>Cornell University</em> di New York, qualche mese fa aveva parlato di Twitter e della possibilit&agrave; di tracciare una &ldquo;mappa&rdquo; oraria dell&rsquo;umore (APPROFONDIMENTO) e una squadra di matematici della <em>Vermont University</em>, ha continuato a studiare il fenomeno, rilevando purtroppo, che la <strong>felicit&agrave; globale &egrave; in netto calo</strong>.</p>
<p>Secondo i dati raccolti e pubblicati sulla rivista scientifica <em>PlosOne</em> gli oltre 5 miliardi di &ldquo;<strong>cinguettii</strong>&rdquo; o <em>Tweets</em>, esaminati nel corso di 33 mesi avevano mostrato una graduale tendenza negativa a partire da met&agrave; settembre. Per rilevare lo stato emotivo dei &ldquo;Tweeters&rdquo; ovvero degli oltre 63milioni di utenti globali, i ricercatori ne hanno studiato i loro messaggi, composti da non pi&ugrave; di 140 caratteri, estrapolando alcune parole significative come per esempio &ldquo;risate&rdquo;, &ldquo;terrorista&rdquo;, &ldquo;felicit&agrave;&rdquo;, &ldquo;cibo&rdquo; e &ldquo;avidit&agrave;&rdquo; e associando ad esse un punteggio. E per farlo si sono serviti di un servizio in rete distribuito da Amazon e chiamato <strong>Mechanical Turk</strong>.</p>

<p>Cos&igrave;, dopo aver associato un punteggio su una scala della felicit&agrave;, che variava da 1 a 10, gli scienziati hanno trovato che la &ldquo;serenit&agrave;&rdquo; delle persone e in particolare degli americani, negli ultimi 2 anni &egrave; scesa di molto. Gli eventi che hanno contribuito al calo emotivo, sono stati quelli riguardanti il terremoto in Giappone, quello del 2010 in Cile, l&rsquo;anniversario del crollo delle Torri Gemelle, la recessione e la crisi bancaria, oppure alcune notizie di cronaca come la morte di Michael Jackson.</p>
<p>Ma, nonostante questo trend, <strong>Paul Dodds</strong>, autore dello studio, ha spiegato che in alcuni periodi dell&rsquo;anno, la felicit&agrave; sembra &ldquo;trionfare&rdquo; e proprio durante il periodo di Natale, si sono avuti dei picchi massimi, definiti persino &ldquo;<em>anomali</em>&rdquo;, perch&eacute; non collegabili a particolari avvenimenti.</p>
